NAVALCARNERO TO GRIÑÓN
The middle basin of the Guadarrama, villages of adobe and tile roofs.
Leaving Navalcarnero through fields of crops along a gently undulating but predominantly flat road, you will soon reach El Álamo. This is a village with a clear Manchegan flavor, with an abundance of farm houses with Arab tile roofs, built with adobe and whitewashed, many of them are of one or two floors, with an inner courtyard and some with an entrance for carriages.
From El Álamo take the road that leads to the bridge over the Guadarrama River. The bridge is shared traffic with motor vehicles, so it is advisable to use caution when crossing it. It then climbs up the road that leads you to Batres through a very pleasant mountainous area. Next you will see the Batres Castle, which can only be seen from the outside.
From there take the road that, through Serranillos del Valle, will lead you to Griñón.
