The Galapagar Town Hall has had several uses throughout its history, such as primary school, jail or even in the mid-nineteenth century and because of the fire caused in the parish church, its plenary hall was enabled as such, which was extended for a decade, until the reconstruction works were completed. In the reform of the twentieth century was taken into account the historical character of Galapagar, a town linked to Philip II and the construction of the monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. The dungeon of great historical and artistic interest, has housed since 2010 the archaeological hall.
