You will probably wonder why a museum dedicated to the moon in a place like this little corner of Madrid. The reason is significant: on July 20, 1969, at the historic moment when the Apollo XI spacecraft landed on the satellite, Fresnedillas also starred in a unique moment by hosting the NASA Station receiving the landing signals. 40 years later this Lunar Museum was born, dedicated to the space missions of the NASA and of the old USSR.
Among other curiosities, the traveler may find a model of a space capsule, astronaut costumes, Neil Armstrong pieces, or see the first human footprint on the lunar surface. Pre-reservation is required for weekends.
