Cycling route through the Mythical Ports of Madrid (Canencia/Morcuera)
SOTO DEL REAL - SOTO DEL REAL
A classic for all road bike enthusiasts. It climbs the mythical passes of Morcuera and Canencia.
We pass through the village of Miraflores de la Sierra and begin the ascent to the Canencia pass. We descend to the Lozoya valley and pass by the Lozoya reservoir, with beautiful views of the Peñalara peak. On clear days you can even see up to the mountains of the Sierra de Gredos.
We cross the village of Rascafría, do not miss the El Paular Monastery and the natural pools where you can take a refreshing bath before climbing the Morcuera pass. After climbing this famous pass we descend again to Soto de Real.
